It is important to setup your banking within 6 weeks of your arrival in Australia. Most banking and financial institutions will accept your Passport as 100pts of Identification upon your arrival. If your arrival if greater than 6 weeks, you will need to provide additional forms of identification which may be difficult for migrants just entering Australia.
